Leo Lacroix had one major concern when he first began competition skiing: Ski technology and its progress. With his cousin and associate, in the village where he was born, Bois d’Amont in the French Jura, he created the first technical skis with a fibreglass component. These skis helped him to win the downhill silver medal at the Innsbruck (Austria) Olympic Games in 1964, before taking second place at the 1966 World Championships in Portillo (Chile) in the downhill and combined events.
With this success, the two Frenchmen wanted to create their own brand in order to share their love of the aesthetically pleasing ski and their approach to sport.
Almost fifty years later, the Lacroix brand is still known as the pioneer of unique and technically advanced skiwear since its inception by Leo Lacroix. Each piece is made by a team including engineers, champion skiers and designers, ensuring every detail, from the elegant silhouettes to the comfort and dynamic performance, is considered.
