Glide & Slide Independent Ski Shop – Terms & Conditions
Missing DeliveryIf you believe your order is overdue, please get in touch with us promptly. You can email us at info@glideslide.co.uk (please include your order number), or call us on
01943 461136.
Please Note: We are
not liable for parcels that have been delivered to locations deemed 'safe' by the courier—such as porches, garages, sheds, or with neighbours—nor for items left unattended.
In accordance with the
Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the
Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, we
are responsible for ensuring that goods are delivered within the timeframe agreed at the time of purchase (typically within 30 days unless otherwise specified). Once a parcel has been marked as delivered by the courier to the address you have provided, responsibility for the item transfers to you.
To minimise the risk of delivery issues, we recommend specifying a secure delivery location or an alternative address where someone you trust can receive the parcel on your behalf.
Free Ski Binding MountingWe’re pleased to offer complimentary ski binding mounting when skis and bindings are purchased together via our website.
To ensure accurate and safe setup, we require the following details:
- Your ski boot sole length (in millimetres – usually embossed on the heel or side of the boot)
- Your height
- Your weight
- Your age
- Your skier ability classification (Type I, II, or III — see our ski binding mounting page more for details)
These details allow us to calculate the correct DIN setting, which controls when the bindings release —
an important safety measure.
Important: For the most precise and secure fit, we strongly recommend visiting our store in
Otley, West Yorkshire with your ski boots. This enables us to conduct a full boot-to-binding compatibility check and final safety test.
If bringing your boots in isn’t feasible, we will mount your bindings based on the information you provide. However, in this case, we advise having the setup checked by a qualified technician at your local ski shop or resort before use.
As required by the
Consumer Rights Act 2015, all services are carried out with reasonable care and skill. However, if your ski boots are not provided for the final fitting, we cannot take responsibility for any issues relating to DIN settings or binding fit.
